The inspiration for the character from is the ancient Egytpian deity: Khonsu. Whose name is also sometimes spelled as: Chonsu, Khensu, Khons, Chons, Khonshu.

In ancient Egytpian mythology Khonsu is either depicted with green skin, or depicted with a falcon head.
